Tea Cup and Saucer

About me

Hello there, my name is Suzanne and I am a huge fan of Chinese tea. Although tea is essentially just a "wet leaf juice," those who enjoy it know that it is much more than that. It is a gateway to discovering the unique flavors of nature.

My father has been a Chinese tea lover for over three decades, so I grew up drinking it. However, it wasn't until September 2018, when I attended my first tea-tasting workshop in Shanghai, that I learned how to differentiate between oolong, black, and Pu'er tea. I was fascinated by the rich history and origins of tea and how the taste of a simple cup of tea can be mind-blowing when brewed correctly.

Since then, I have been brewing Chinese tea Gongfu style every day, starting with my first clay pot and a few sachets of loose-leaf tea. Today, I have collected over a thousand samples of tea from all six categories: green, yellow, white, oolong, red (black), and black (dark). I intend to explore each one of them as I delve deeper into their origins, taste, and benefits. Although I am not an expert, I hope my passion for Chinese tea can inspire others who are interested in it.

My life motto is "Live to eat; eat to sip tea." Join me in savoring the simple pleasures of life, one sip at a time.
